Fusion of Su Ha Ri and Shin Gi Tai

Genesis Arts Golf Club provides the tips of controlling your body which ancient Japanese martial artists use to acquire basic movements in daily life. What’s SYUHARI

Although there are various theories, Sh Ha Ri, established by Sen no Rikyu, is a Japanese martial art concept which describe three stages of learning to mastery; the stage of Shu translates “to keep,” the stage of Ha translates “to fall,” and the stage of Ri translates “to break away.” It is known that, when we learn or train in something, we pass through the stage of Sh Ha Ri. After you train basic small and easy movements and master the stage of Sh, you would obtain the skills of adapting to yourself even new and complicated movements. The Shu Ha Ri is the suitable cycle of self-development which you can take in new things once you master thee stages of Sh Ha Ri.

Stage of Shu

In Shu, we repeat the forms and discipline ourselves so that our bodies absorb the forms that our forebears created. We remain faithful to these forms with no deviation.

Stage of Ha

In the stage of Ha, once we have disciplined ourselves to acquire the forms and movements, we make innovations. In this process the forms may be broken and discarded.

Stage of Ri

In Ri, we completely depart from the forms, open the door to creative technique and arrive in a place where we act in accordance with what our mind desires, unhindered while not overstepping laws.
